Discover the Magic of Centra Natura Lucomagno: A Family Adventure
Early in the morning, my daughter Day and I,set off from Zurich towards Centra Natura Lucomagno. The drive, though lengthy, was a joyous adventure filled with breathtaking landscapes. The journey of itself felt like a celebration of nature, with stunning views that made every mile worthwhile.
we drove a bit of a sort cut and made the pas from Rapperswil toward Schwyz, and than go back on trail again. And drive the Chur road on our way back
As we ascended the mountain, we were enveloped by untouched nature, and upon opening the car doors, we were greeted by the delightful scents of hay, freshly cut grass, and wildflowers. Instantly, we felt rejuvenated and excited for the adventure ahead.
The sight of large white tents amidst the windswept flower meadows, surrounded by towering mountains with snow-capped peaks, filled us with excitement. The friendly staff warmly welcomed us, guiding us to our pre-booked spot. It’s fortunate we reserved in advance, as this place is a hidden gem, highly sought after by nature enthusiasts.
Mostly occupied by small vans and campers, Centra Natura Lucomagno also offers a few coveted tent spots. We secured one of these prime spots just in time. Our site, marked by a large stone with our number, was beautifully adorned with wildflowers, blending seamlessly into the natural surroundings.
A winding river flows through this small nature camp, where Day spent hours joyfully searching for crystals along the water’s edge. 
The facilities here are outstanding. Various barbecue and open fire areas are available for campers to cook their meals. There’s even a communal fridge for storing perishables. The washrooms are impeccably clean, with both toilets and showers maintained with great care and love, enhancing the family-friendly atmosphere. 
The main building also offers a few rooms for those seeking more comfort.Rates include breakfast and shower facilities, if you stay in on of the tents or rooms. Electricity charged separately if you stay in a tent or a ven. For a additional fee, guests can enjoy a breakfast( 14,- chf) or a breakfast buffet ( 26,- chf)
Our original plan was to stay just one night, but the incredible peace and verdant surroundings, accompanied by the soothing sounds of the nearby stream, persuaded us to extend our stay to three nights. Two of those nights were spent in our own tent, while the third night we enjoyed the comfort of a tent provided by Centra Natura Lucomagno.
For those looking for an alternative to bustling campsites, a place where you can truly connect with nature and enjoy a back-to-basics experience, Centra Natura Lucomagno is the perfect spot. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our stay. A word of advice: while the days can be quite warm, nights can get chilly, so be sure to bring something warm to snuggle into.
