Day’s experienced the magic of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, discovering its wonders as a muggle during an unforgettable afternoon at Universal Studios Orlando.
A Magical 2 Day’s at Harry Potter’s Universal Park in Orlando.
As the music of Universal Studios filled our ears, Day danced her way onto the moving walkway towards the Universal park entrance. Today was the day we’d been awaiting – our visit to the Harry Potter park nestled within the Universal parks. Rising early to ensure we were among the first to arrive, we breezed through the entrance with our personalised entry cards, a quick scan of our fingers granting us access.
The nearly empty streets of the park shimmered in the morning light, and we even caught a glimpse of Marilyn Monroe along the way – a blast from the past indeed. Slowly, we made our way to the park entrance, and lo and behold, there it was – the iconic purple bus (The Knight Bus)
from Harry Potter, with the ever-charming conductor, ready to whisk us away on a magical journey.
Following his directions, we eagerly headed towards Diagon Alley, anticipation bubbling within us. Each storefront we passed filled us with excitement, wondering if it might be the wand shop where we would choose our very own wand.
Not long after, we arrived at the wand shop located on Diagon Alley. Upon entering, we were greeted by Olivander: Maker of Exclusive Wands since 382 BC. He invited you forward to select your wand with his assistance. Of course, things didn’t go smoothly at first, as the first two wands proved to be quite stubborn. However, when you finally found the right one, your face lit up with joy, and we decided to take it with us to embark on our magical journey.
As we wandered through Diagon Alley, we came across various storefronts adorned with symbols of spells that you could replicate with your wand, hoping they would come to life. After some practice, you were getting the hang of it, from lighting up lights to making frogs dance and mandrakes scream.
Eventually, we found ourselves at the Three Broomsticks, where a cart of butterbeer stood nearby. We couldn’t resist trying it—mmhh, a layer of marshmallow foam with a slightly fizzy lemonade, deliciously sweet and definitely left us craving for more.
And of course, we couldn’t resist the temptation of the delightful candy shops lining the alley, from Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans to chocolate frogs in all sizes. We were spoiled for choice and our eyes feasted on the colorful array of treats.
You decided to indulge in a delicious enchanted cake, adorned with sparkling sprinkles and magical frosting. With each bite, a burst of flavor danced on your taste buds, filling you with joy and enchantment.
As we continued our exploration of Diagon Alley, each corner revealed new wonders and surprises. From spellbinding performances to captivating displays, the magic of the wizarding world enveloped us, leaving us spellbound and eager for more adventures.
