Day, i and her Sisters by heart ♥️ Nena ar thrilled to share an other adventure that’s been on our bucket list. For days, we had eagerly anticipated this unique experience: sleeping next to polar bears at Pairi Daiza in Belgium.
Pairi Daiza, though still relatively unknown, is an extraordinary zoo that offers the incredible opportunity to sleep near your favorite animals. This stunning park lets you choose from different worlds, each providing an intimate and immersive experience with the animals. I can confidently say that Pairi Daiza is one of the most beautiful zoos in Europe, if not the world.
Imagine waking up to the sight of majestic polar bears just outside your window. That’s exactly what we experienced, and it was nothing short of magical. The zoo’s careful design and dedication to creating a natural habitat for these animals made the encounter even more special. Standing face-to-face with these magnificent creatures was both humbling and awe-inspiring.
But polar bears aren’t the only animals you can get close to. Pairi Daiza offers a variety of immersive accommodations. You can choose to sleep next to pinguïn, beats, sea lions, or even wolves, each habitat meticulously crafted to ensure the comfort and well-being of the animals while giving visitors a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Pairi Daiza isn’t just a zoo; it’s a world of wonder. Divided into several themed areas, it takes you on a global journey from the African savannah to the temples of Asia, and the lush landscapes of the Americas. The attention to detail in each area is astounding, making you feel as if you’ve stepped into another world.
One of the highlights of our stay was exploring the “Land of the Cold,” where the polar bears reside. You have the choice of three options to book a room, sleeping underwater or at the same height or bird’s eye view. 
The accommodation was luxurious yet cozy, with large windows offering panoramic views of the polar bears’ habitat. We spent hours just watching them play, swim, and interact, all from the comfort of our room.
What to do during times like the coronavirus pandemic? We couldn’t do much, but there was one park that remained open: Pairi Daiza. Under strict regulations, we were allowed to stay overnight, and with the impeccable service of Pairi Daiza, it was truly no hardship to sleep in this amazing park. We received our meals in a beautifully crafted wooden box engraved with the Pairi Daiza logo, filled with delicious treats. Enjoying a delightful meal by the window, watching our polar bear neighbors, was an unforgettable experience.
This unique experience is perfect for animal lovers and those looking for an extraordinary adventure. It’s a chance to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and connect with nature in a profound way.
Together, we spent 2 entire days wandering delightfully through Pairi Daiza, taking in all the sights and experiences this extraordinary park has to offer. From visiting the monkey enclosures, where if you sit quietly, the monkeys will come and sit with you or even on you, to exploring the bat cave where you can feel them flying just inches away—every moment was magical.
Our adventure continued to the penguin cave and the elephant habitat. Throughout the park, there are charming restaurants where you can enjoy a meal or a snack. We also enjoyed riding the little train that takes you around the entire park, giving your feet a much-needed rest while still taking in the beautiful scenery.
For those with little children, there are several playgrounds scattered around the park, perfect for a break and some fun. Walking through the China section of the park, we marveled at the stunning gardens and covered walkways. The pandas are an absolute must-see, just like the monkeys.
One highlight was the large boat housing tarantulas and reptiles, providing a thrilling experience. You can even walk through Australia, meeting koalas, kangaroos, and more. Many animals roam freely throughout the park, like this pelican we encountered up close.
We also visited the bird enclosures, where birds will land on you as soon as you step inside, creating an unforgettable interaction. The park features stunning ancient buildings from Bali, where you can even walk a barefoot path, feeling the natural textures under your feet.
As evening approached, we climbed the Balinese tower together to watch the sunset. From every direction, we heard the calls of wild animals, creating an awe-inspiring and primal atmosphere. It was an incredible feeling to be surrounded by the sounds of nature as the sky painted itself in hues of orange and pink.
But even atop the temple, we were not alone. We were constantly accompanied by a few peacocks that had been following us through the park, proudly displaying their magnificent plumage. Their presence added a touch of elegance and wonder to our sunset experience.
Tired but satisfied, we finally arrived at our log cabin. We had seen so much today, and our feet were aching. The girls decided to relax in the hot tub, where they enjoyed bubbling away with disco lights even adding to the fun. While they were having their bath, I prepared their sleeping area by the window, so they could fall asleep watching the polar bears. 
A few small candles added a cozy touch, making the room even more wonderful. Curious about what tomorrow would bring, they soon drifted off to sleep.
