**Our First Glamping Experience: A Journey into Nature with Comfort**
For the longest time, Day and I had never even slept in a tent. The idea of camping, while appealing, always seemed daunting with the thought of roughing it out in the wild. But we wanted to change that and decided to dip our toes into the world of glamping—a perfect blend of glamour and camping. Our adventure began with a trip to a charming Glamping site nestled at the edge of a forest, in Belgium. And what a delightful surprise it turned out to be!
**A Warm Welcome to the Wilderness**
As we drove up to the site, the first thing that struck us was the picturesque setting. The tent was spacious and inviting, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature. Unlike the traditional camping experience, our tent came with all the modern comforts one could ask for. It was the perfect balance of outdoor adventure and indoor luxury.
The tent was a revelation. It was far from the barebones setup we had imagined. Instead, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. As we stepped inside, one of the highlights was the fully equipped kitchen. It had all the appliances and utensils we needed to prepare our meals. We loved the idea of cooking together while surrounded by nature.

The heated bathroom was a welcome sight, ensuring we could enjoy a hot shower after a day of exploring.Above the kitchen, there was a charming loft area with beds for the kids, creating a cozy nook for them to sleep and play.
Imagine arriving at your tent and finding the beds already made, inviting you to relax immediately. It was a luxury we hadn’t anticipated, yet greatly appreciated as newcomers to the camping scene. The convenience didn’t stop there; we discovered the option to order meals, delivered right to our doorstep by a friendly staff member in a golf cart. This amenity proved invaluable, especially since, despite the luxurious surroundings, I found myself forgetting more than half of what we needed—a testament to my novice camping skills!
**A Year-Round Retreat**
The tent was designed for year-round use, with insulation that kept us warm during the cooler nights and colt in the summer. This versatility made it an appealing choice for future trips, no matter the season. Outside, we had a small veranda furnished with a comfortable seating area. It was the perfect spot to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
Normally, when you go camping, you have to bring everything with you—clothes, bedding, food supplies and even essentials like toilet paper. Here, however, everything was already provided. They even offered the option to have the beds made up and ready for us. Additionally, you could order food, delivered right to your tent in a golf cart. This made things so easy because, even in this luxurious setting, as an inexperienced camper,
( and knowing me ) I managed to forget more than half of what I needed normally so Having the option to order breakfast was an extra luxury that we thoroughly appreciated.
The small courtyard in front of our tent featured a campfire setup, ideal for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the classic camping experience. Of course Day couldn’t wait for the evening to came to sit bij the bonfire. During the day she collects wood and dry grass for her campfire for that night.
**Campfire Memories**
As finely the evening settled in and Day enjoyed the campfire with some children from neighbouring tents that she invited, and armed with a large bag of marshmallows,
I found myself on the tent’s veranda, savouring a glass of wine.
The atmosphere was serene until I caught the sound of lively music drifting from another tent nearby. Curiosity got the better of me, and I couldn’t resist following the sound to see where it was coming from—perhaps another group gathered around a cheerful campfire, singing their hearts out under the starry sky.
To my surprise, the music emanated from inside another tent. Given the onslaught of mosquitoes that evening, these young folks had retreated indoors. Much to my astonishment, they graciously invited me in for a glass of wine, and I couldn’t refuse such a warm invitation.
Inside, amidst cozy guitar melodies and occasional bursts of laughter, the evening took on an even more magical hue. It was a reminder that while camping naturally fosters connections, these encounters were unexpectedly warm and delightful. Bonds formed easily in this relaxed setting, far different from the usual interactions you might find in a hotel lobby.
This spontaneous gathering added a special touch to our Glamping experience. It reinforced that beyond the luxurious amenities and comforts of our tent, the true essence of glamping lies in these unexpected moments of camaraderie and shared joy, making our stay all the more memorable.
Finely it’s time to go to our cosy bed
As the evening descended with its tranquil glow, and a evenings spent on the veranda or gathered around the campfire brought their own surprises. We we went back to the tent.
Were I find Day standing in front of the mirror ..Day was returned to the tent only to discover she had unwittingly become a feast for grass fleas and mosquitoes 🦟Her face, dotted with tiny red bites, 
was a sight to behold under the light of our lanterns. Despite the discomfort, we couldn’t help but laugh at the unexpected turn of events. It was a moment that perfectly encapsulated the unpredictability and joy of our Glamping adventure.
**Sleeping in the tent**
so after a good laugh we settled in, bud we noticed the tent gradually stirring with activity our Glamping tent seemed to awaken with a life of its own. Nestled at the forest’s edge, adjacent to a traditional campsite, we embarked on our first foray into Glamping—a luxurious twist on traditional camping that promised both comfort and adventure.

After surviving the night, we woke up with a nice sunrise, the ability to order breakfast was perhaps the ultimate indulgence. Waking up to a freshly prepared meal served in our cozy tent was a delightful contrast to the usual camping routine of starting the day with instant coffee and granola bars.
